Born Daughter of the Soil, Betty V. Nisbeth has been singing and performing for as far back as she can remember. She remembers her first ever live performance at age 12 was in her local church, the song was Tomorrow by the Winans.. and her father (who never went to church) was blown away by her rendition of it. She joined the children choir the Lollipops, mentored by Anastacia Larmonie then went on to win the Third Annual St. Maarten Children’s Song Festival in 1983.
BettiV found she was equally at home in the world of film and theatre. Mentored by the late Sir Ian Valz she was cast in various roles:
